Last weekend Jen and I enjoyed a quick get-away night to Philadelphia to celebrate her birthday. We had a great time. We relaxed in our hotel room, we enjoyed a concert by Mates of State, and had a delicious brunch at Parc on Rittenhouse Square. We really didn't take any pictures to document the fun that we had, so you'll just have to trust us. It was fun.
I did take some pictures from our hotel room that I really like. It had just finished raining and the city looks shiny and fresh (not usually the first two words one would associate with Philadelphia.) In the second picture you can actually see a rainbow way out over the Delaware River.

It's always good to have some get-away time. You were fortunate to have seen the rainbow from way up high in your room. The tall buildings of the city block them from view for most of the city folk, I'm sure. Just another of God's blessings for your enjoyment! XO
