We had an unexpected visitor last night hovering over the treetops outside of our kitchen window. It was one of those special summer-only sightings: a hot air balloon!
It was flying really low, and we thought that it might be landing in a park near our house. Since we were going to go for a walk anyway, we scrambled a little bit to try and get out the door to track it down.
The picture below is blurry because we were speedwalking to try and catch up with it before it landed. If you look carefully though you can see the top of the balloon peeking over the trees as it descends.
We didn't quite make it there to see it land. But it was still fun to watch them pull it down and pack it up.
It attracted quite the crowd. It was like a neighborhood event. All of the kids there were eager to jump in and lend a helping hand.
Pretty cool.

Aiden seems to get into all the fun that living in the Phoenixville area has to offer.
Ballooning while a lot of fun can be very dangerous. Maybe he should stick to airplanes with his Grand Pop Jones!!!
Love you little guy.

Jen - I finally got a chance to check out the blog and it's been lots of fun catching up with your life in this way. You guys seem to be doing great and Aiden is adorable! Hopefully I'll get to meet him sometime!
Thanks for sharing :-)
