The Bounce Master

Yep, I know-we've posted a bunch of videos of Aiden in his jumper before.  But its been awhile- and he's gotten a lot more into it (a lot).  He really likes this thing- he'd probably spend all day in it if we let him.  

So, all that time jumping has given him tons of opportunity to practice his moves, and I gotta say: I think he's elevated the common bouncy seat to a previously unknown art form.  I'd think he's got a sure future as a circus performer, or possibly a professional bungee jumper.  Wheee!

It's a date

What is better then one ridiculously cute baby?  Two babies!!

Here are some pictures of Aiden hanging out with Lucy Anderson.  Although not yet aware of their looming arranged marriage, these two have obviously hit it off.  Clearly this date will be the first of many.

Side note:  at what age does it become painfully obnoxious to joke about your kid marrying your friend's kid?  12?  18?  35?  Well we intend to find out.  These two will probably get married just to shut us up.

Now I know that things have been skewing pretty Phillies-centric around here, and I wish that I could say that I was sorry.

But the reality is, who knows when this will happen again?  At the rate they're going the Phillies won't be in another World Series until I am 41 and Aiden is 16.

So lets savor the moment people.  Go ahead.  Savor it.

Baby Boogie

The title of this video is pretty self explanatory.  It is a baby.  Who boogies.

Oh, and also there are some rythmic handclaps thrown in for good measure.

Who would have thought?

First of all: who would have thought that the Phillies would be this deep in the postseason?

Who would have thought that they would roll so confidently over the Brewers and, so far, the Dodgers?

Who would have thought that last night the Phillies could have put together such a huge late inning rally against a nearly flawless Dodger bullpen?

Who would have thought that once again it would be pipsqueak Shane Victorino providing the spark to get the comeback rolling?

And most importantly, who would have thought that it would be 40-year-old journeyman slugger Matt Stairs who would hit the improbable home run that would launch the team to victory and himself into Phillies playoff lore?

NO ONE thought it.  And that is why baseball is the greatest game on the planet.  

Boo-ya.

New Hampshire= Heaven

Hey all.  We are back at the abode after our weekend excursions and it is good to be home.  While Jen and Aiden had the chance to spend the weekend at an idyllic Bed & Breakfast in Lancaster with her parents.  I was visiting these guys:

Chris and Dan are my best buddies from college, and I had an amazing opportunity to spend a whole weekend hanging out with them at Dan's cabin in New Hampshire.

We played some basketball.

And some disc golf.

And just generally enoyed the serene beauty that only a New England autumn can provide. 

 It was a great, great way to spend a couple of days.  I should note that absolutely all of these pictures were shamelessly pilfered from Dan's wife Laura, who will no doubt some day win a Pulitzer Prize for her photography skills if that is in fact possible.  There are a ton more pictures of the weekend, and more in depth descriptions at Dan and Laura's blog if you want to check them out.

Jen also took a lot of great pictures and videos of her Lancaster weekend, and those will be along in short order.

PS- I've only been gone four days, and suddenly the Phillies are one win away from the world series!?  Is this really happening???

Today Pat Burrell powered the Phillies into the next round of the playoffs with two huge homeruns.  This is a guy that Philadelphians (myself included) love to hate.  However, If he were here right now I would kiss him.
