The post to (literally) end all posts

Yes, this will be a long blog post. And yes, this will also be the last blog post, and lets just get that part out of the way first.

We started this blog almost exactly 7 years ago, in anticipation of the arrival of our first born.  When we were brand new parents we had so much (too much?) to share, and we had a blast posting it all right here for everyone to see.  Much has changed in the last 7 years.  Two more kids raises our grand total to three, and although we still have plenty to share, we are doing it in different ways.  Thanks to facebook and instagram, posting on the blog no longer feels as essential to keeping family and friends in the loop. Plus, a renewed commitmant to getting physical photo books made from our many years of backlogged digital photos makes us feel like we haven't given up on documenting our daily memories.  It's time to put the blog to bed, but first: one last whopper of a post...

...apparently it's 2015 now, and as one year ends and another already starts flying by it seems high time to update things here in blog world. The big news (brace yourselves) we had a baby.  Hazel is chubby and perfect and is, I'm pretty sure,  a real life princess.  If you continue reading this post you will see approximately 8,073 pictures of her.

Even though by now Hazel has been with us for quite some time (7 months!) the newness of her, the surprise of her, and the heart-stopping beauty of her still feel brand spankin' new.

The arrival of a new baby into the home always has the potential to overwhelm a family's emotional and physical equilibrium, but brothers A & B have continued to grow and thrive in their own daily adventures. With Aiden attending first grade and Brady starting his first year of preschool we are glad to now have twice as many schoolyard tall tales to discuss and decipher.

This fall also was a celebration of Brady's 3rd birthday, and a Star Wars themed halloween. More recentley we celebrated our first Christmas together as a family of 5, and for the grand finale to this blog and our year of 2014 we attended the wedding of (Aunt) Gwyn and (Uncle) John.

It was a great year.
 It was a fun blog.
But now it's time to move on.

But first, lets meet Hazel Ruth Jones...
