Party

Aiden's first birthday is quickly approaching.  So, this past weekend we had a little party for him.   We wanted to share some pictures of this special day.

Aiden was really excited

There was plenty of food

and of course, Monkey cupcakes

The Birthday Boy getting lots of love

Aiden was not too happy about having all that attention when it was time to sing 'Happy Birthday' and eventually he couldn't hold it in any longer.

and after it was all over, Aiden sat in his new sled and pondered the day

Aiden:

Today is your actual birthday. What joy you have brought into the lives of your mommy and daddy as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. We all remember the day that was cloudy with snow showers, but when you were born, God sent a ray of sun shine to the earth and into all of our lives.

We pray on your bithday that you will always love the Lord with all your heart and serve Him.

In future years you will go to school to prepare for your life's work.

You share the birthday with the great American president Abraham Lincoln who we also celebrate his 200th birthday today.

President Lincoln said:

"I will prepare and some day my chance will come."

We challenge you in the years ahead to prepare for some day your chance will come and you will be called to greatness.

Love to you on your birthday
