The Temptation of Aiden

In this video we see Aiden struggling with one of life's great questions:

To eat the dogfood?  Or to not eat the dogfood?

Lets see how he does...

I would just like to say a few things about this video
1. Rob posted it without my knowlege this morning while I was sleeping.
2. by that evening, Aiden was listening to me every time I said "no" and now, he can be in the kitchen without getting into the dog food. This was my goal. I spent all day working on this with him
3. I find it very difficult to video tape Aiden when I am by myself. He is constantly moving and if he does get into something, it is hard to know what to do with the camera when I need to tend to him. So, I am learning, and I am aware that this is not great quality. I was also very frustrated (as you can tell near the end) about the settings on our camera and which to use when he is close up, and what to use when he is farther away. This is annoying when you are taping a one year old who is constantly moving.

Jen, I must commend you for your persistence with Aiden and the dog food. It's (persistence) the most difficult aspect of parenting, it seems. I am glad to hear that Aiden is catching on, and hopefully he won't fall back into his old ways and munch when your back is turned! XO

This video had me cracking up. Jen - you did a great job. Yay for Aiden knowing "no!"

Jen, I laughed out loud at this video. Not only at Aiden and you, but knowing, even before I read your comment, that Rob must have posted this without you knowing. You can tell Aiden is really trying to behave, which makes this even funnier.

Jen, the first of many battles as you strive to raise Aiden in a Godly manner. Hang in there! You will not regret beginning to teach him early. He will continue to be a blessing i'm sure.

GO Jen! Rockin' girl. Keep it up and use that firm voice. He'll get it. It's hard to persevere, but you're laying a great cornerstone in his life by doing so. It's a tireless task some days, but one day you'll reap the fruit and he will rise up and call you blessed.

(I still cannot believe you're a mommy. Weird, cuz I'm only 25...)

Just let the kid have some dog food. He'll learn on his own.

Just kidding. You're an awesome mom Jen.
