The other day we got this letter in the mail:
Are we wrong to feel like this is a little creepy? Maybe this happens all the time, but I sort of feel like it doesn't. It could just be two people who really like our house, but it seems like there would be a better, less stalker-ish way, to convey that message, right?
You could say, "Hey we really like your house, if you're ever looking to move give us a call." Or some variation of that where you don't write a big fat $BUY$ complete with sandwiching money signs.
Is this odd, or is it just us?

EWWWWWWWWWW.
That.
Is.
CREEPY.
Like, seriously.
HOW DID THEY KNOW YOUR NAME?!?!?!
unfortunately when you buy a house, they put all that info in public records-your name, how much it sold for, etc. Which I guess I understand, but kind of not.
Okay...i was going to comment on this topic earlier on, but thot it wasn't my place. You shouldn't have your profile available for all the crazies to see. take off where you live, etc...it's a creepy world out there. now, i'm assuming this couple has seen it live or "have they?" anyways, in my personal opinion: IT'S ODD. There are plenty of other tactful ways to approach the topic and they chose about the very least, I would say. Yikes! bolt the doors, head for the hills and run for your lives. JK. Seriously, i would just ignore it. Lisa
oh, but i must say, i'm happy that one good thing came of this spooky event...WE FINALLY GOT A COMMENT POSTED BY THE BLOGGERS THEMSELVES! WAHOO!!!!
I don't think they have seen this blog- we don't have our address on here or our phone number- only the town we live in. Also, there are way too many Jones' for them to know this was our blog. We live on a busy road with probably at least 100 cars going by every hour. The envelope also had their return address and their phone number, probably to seem not as threatening. But yes, it is strange how they went about it if they were seriously interested. We are ignoring it at this point. And I am just saying for the record - our house is NOT for sale.!!!
I don't see how this is weird. I mean, I go out and $BUY$ groceries all the time. And if I want to listen to some new music, I go to the record store and $BUY$ a new CD.
I think that's pretty normal, right?
since they left their full name and phone number you could probably look them up and "preemptively" stalk them first. it's weird how they mention "Lisa" like you know the person already. From my psych-analysis, it shows a certain degree of detachment from reality...
